      Programs for Human Formation

      1. Curriculum/Academic Program

      2. SLRI follows the learning competencies prescribed by the Department of Education, with minor modifications to suit the different needs and abilities of its students. Lessons are delivered in classrooms that are conducive to learning, with materials that are approriate and up-to-date and by dedicated, competent and trained teachers.

      3. Spiritual Formation Program

      4. The program provides spiritual nourishment for the child to givedeeper meaning of the encounter with Christ through formal instruction, retreats, recollections, eucharistic celebrations and initiation rites of the sacraments.

      5. The Discipline Program

      6. SLRI emphasizes that discipline must not be equated with punsihment, but instills into the hearts of the students that self-discipline is the end-goal of this program.

      7. Sports and Physical Education Program

      8. Varied physical activities are offered to acquire skills, knowledge, attitudes and values that help students possess a healthy and efficient body, alert and creative mind, emotions that are well under control and social behavior that is sound for living and serving well in our society.

      9. The Library Instructional Services

      10. As a center for study and research, the school library is designed to supplement the curricula. It provides a wide range of books and educational materials to enhance reading interest among teachers and students.

      11. Guidance Program

      12. Designed to promote self-discovery and self-actualization, it offers the following services to all: testing and appraisal, follow-up, information, placement and counseling.

      13. Co-Curicular Program

      14. Activities are provided for during Filipino Week, Science and Math Week, Bible Week, Sportsfest, Christmas, Nutrition month and the like to provide outlets of energy and enthusiasm, develop originality and creativity and offer oppotunities for the development of talents, leadership and self-expression.

      15. The Ecology Program

      16. To show appreciation for the environment, SLRI conceived activities that manifest concern and awareness on ecological balance, and to help conserve and preserve our environment.

      17. The Livelihood Training Program

      18. A center for livelihood training has been put up to help the students, the alumni and their families with acquiring the necessary skills and knowledge to help them make the wise and practical occupational choice to enable them to meet their needs and social obligations. Livelihood assistance are also provided for qualified families.
